The Jockey Club Live reveals full summer season of open-air concerts

Featuring headline sets from Little Mix, The Jacksons, Culture Club, Olly Murs & many more

The Jockey Club Live has now revealed its complete summer line-up for 2017, featuring some of the hottest chart talent and legendary household names.

Open-air concerts from The Jockey Club Live offer a live experience unlike any other this summer. Alongside show-stopping headlining performances by some of the worlds biggest artists, the action kicks off earlier in the day with a six race card - giving fans the chance to witness powerful equine athletes who are stars in their own right, and enjoy the thrilling drama and spectacle of them racing for glory.

The season will open at Aintree Racecourse, the home of the Grand National, this Friday 19th May with what promises to be a storming headline performance from indie stalwarts Kaiser Chiefs. Having graced The Jockey Club Live stage three years in a row, the band are firm favourites, delivering an incredible festival atmosphere to the racecourses.

Across the summer, headline performances will come from one of the UK’s biggest male solo artists Olly Murs, ‘Rockabye’ and ‘Symphony’ hit makers Clean Bandit with Louisa Johnston, national treasure Tom Jones, chart toppers Texas, indie icons James and Motown Legends The Jacksons celebrating their 50th Anniversary. In addition, Newmarket Racecourses will see Chase & Status bring their unique brand of Drum N Bass to the hallowed turf on 11th August for an acclaimed DJ set, following on from the success of last year’s DJ night which saw an explosive headline set from Mark Ronson.

In a UK exclusive, The Jockey Club Live will be presenting Culture Club for a trio of shows, visiting Epsom Downs, Newmarket and Haydock Park Racecourses. Culture Club were one of the biggest pop bands of the 80s, racking up seven straight Top 10 hits in the UK and nine Top 10 singles in the US. Lead by flamboyant front man Boy George, the band won multiple awards including the 1984 Brit Award for ‘Best British Group’, and the Grammy Award for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best British Single’ for bona fide worldwide smash hit ‘Karma Chameleon’.

In a spectacular finale for summer, Jess Glynne will be returning to Newmarket Racecourses on 26th August for Summer Saturday Live. A family oriented event, She will be hitting the stage early afternoon as the perfect way to kick start the Bank Holiday weekend. The pop sensation is one of the biggest UK breakthrough acts of recent years. Her number-one charting debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh‘, has turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year. Jess is also one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles including ‘Hold My Hand’, ‘My Love’ and ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’. She will also headline shows at Aintree, Wincanton and Carlisle Racecourses.
