Photographers asked to help build Huntingdon calendar

A town calendar for Huntingdon will feature photos of local flower displays.

Huntingdon in Bloom is asking photographers to submit their best floral snaps.

Twelve will be selected to feature in an official town calendar for 2025.

It will be available to purchase from November 2024. 

The group is fresh from success in the Britain in Bloom Awards and is responsible for many locations in the town.

Natasha Pierson from Huntingdon in Bloom:

"We wanted to go back to our roots and really highlight the best parts of Huntingdon. 

"Our floral displays and green spaces change so quickly, that we want to capture and remember it all year round. 

"We also have so many keen photographers in the area, and we want to celebrate their talents. 

"A calendar is the perfect way to do this."

Budding photographers should follow these rules:

• The photo needs to have been taken between September 2023 and August 2024
• It needs to feature a location within Huntingdon and focus on the plants, wildlife, nature and green spaces
• If the image includes an individual, their permission has to be sought
• Photos need to be sent as JPEG or TIFF files with a minimum image resolution of 300dpi
• Photographers can submit as many entries as they like

The deadline for all submissions is Saturday 31st August 2024.
