Eleven year old local hero recognised by Police Commissioner

An 11 year old boy from St Neots was given a private tour of Police Headquarters in Huntingdon on 21st March, following a personal invite from Police and Crime Commissioner, Jason Ablewhite.

Noah Fairweather was invited to meet the Commissioner with his parents and younger brother, Miles, after he helped a homeless man when he fell over.

Noah, who volunteers as a St John’s Ambulance Cadet, stayed with the man and made sure he was safe until the ambulance arrived.

After finding out that Noah wants to be a Police Officer one day, the Police and Crime Commissioner decided a tour of Police Headquarters would be the best way to thank him. Noah was given a demonstration of police vehicles used by the Constabulary by Roads Policing Officers David Tudman and Lee Rumsey and was also given a private tour of the armoury.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Jason Ablewhite said:

“It’s people like Noah who make me proud to come into work every day. His immediate concern and action for the man who fell shows great community spirit – something that will hold him in great stead as he grows up.

“To mark his courage, I have made Noah an Honorary Volunteer Police Cadet. I certainly hope to welcome him into the policing family when he is old enough!”
