Christmas is coming! Ely Markets brings festive cheer to city

Ely Markets will raise the city’s Christmas spirit with an array of festive markets throughout December.

The festivities commence with the return of Ely Market’s Festive Lates on Wednesday 6 December. Running from 4.00pm until 8.30pm on Ely Market Place, the series of family-friendly night markets will include street food, gift shopping, live music and family entertainment.  With mulled wine, mince pies, exciting food choices, cocktails and artisan hot chocolate, wrap up warm for an enjoyable evening!  The Festive Lates also take place on the 13 and 20 December.

As the countdown to Christmas ramps up, the 18th December will initiate a full week of festive markets right through until Christmas Eve. 

Ely Markets will also bring Christmas Mini-Markets on the 18th, 19th and 20th December from 10am until 3pm. This provides an opportunity for last-minute present buying, as well as a chance to indulge in the variety of food and gift stalls available.

The annual Special Christmas Market takes place on Friday 22nd December from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with a fantastic selection of festive stalls including crafts, artisan food & drink, streetfood, vintage and Farmers Market producers with seasonal gifts and entertainment.  Plus there will also be a very special visitor all the way from the North Pole.

These extra-special events are in addition to Ely Markets’ regular weekly Charter Market on Thursdays, Craft, Food and Vintage Market on Saturdays and Sunday Market which will all be taking place as scheduled with a festive sparkle.
