A crew from St Neots was called to a chimney fire in Brockholt Road.
Firefighters used a roof ladder to access the chimney and chimney rods to extinguish the fire before returning to their station by 6.33pm.
Cause of the fire was accidental.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Please ensure you get your chimney swept and brickwork inspected at least once a year. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
