The city centre will be turned into a sea of pink on Sunday as Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life returns to Jesus Green.
For the first time, men will be joining women and children when they take on the 5K and 10K Cambridge routes to raise money for Cancer Research UK, which has a large research facility in the city.
Courtney Culverhouse, Cancer Research UK’s Cambridge Event Manager, said: “Our Race for Life events are fun, colourful, emotional and uplifting.
"They help people with cancer by raising money for research, including clinical trials which give patients in Cambridge access to the latest treatments.”
Both races start on Jesus Green at 11am and there is still time to sign up at raceforlife.org. Entry is £14.99 for adults, £10 for children with under 6 entry free.
The following Stagecoach bus services will be diverted until 5pm due to the event:
- Madingley Road - Park and Ride
