Two crews from Cambridge were called to some cardboard boxes on fire in a covered car port in Tamarin Gardens, Cherry Hinton.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 10.57pm.
Cause of the fire was deliberate.
