Appeal following burglary in Stetchworth

POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in Stetchworth, near Newmarket last week.

On the night of July 15/16 unknown offenders gained access to an insecure building in Church Lane and stole scrap metal worth in excess of £335.

The offenders also forced their way into a locked shed next to the property, once inside they stole tools worth £25.

Police Constable Jack Briggs said: “This was an opportunist burglary on a building that is currently being renovated and we are keen to speak to anyone with any information.

“We urge residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour and to take the necessary measures to protect their property.”
