Children and young people supported by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) enjoyed a variety of live music at the charity’s third annual EACHfest.
The event at the charity’s Milton hospice featured a samba drumming workshop by 2020 Effect, acoustic sessions by Buck Puffin and a journey through Disney songs by Alley Cats.
Children rotated around those in three groups, aptly named Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds.
They also enjoyed creating a group piece of artwork, guided by EACH Art Therapist Carole Simpson, whilst sipping on mocktails.
Lunch came in the form of a barbecue and there was an ice cream van to provide afternoon treats.
Lucy Brumpton, EACH Service Manager, said: “EACHfest aims to provide a social opportunity, for 11-19 year olds who receive care from us, that they might not otherwise experience.
“The live acts this year were out of this world and the energy of staff was breathtaking. It was also great to see rooms transformed for the occasion, with no corners escaping bunting. In true festival style we had rain, but this was saved until the end of the day. We’re now already looking forward to next year!”
EACH provides care for more than 360 children and young people with life-threatening conditions across the region, as well as support to over 450 family members. For more information go to www.each.org.uk.
