Scientists behind the venture say this could provide a welcome antidote to the daily distractions we face in a busy world.

In research published in the scientific journal, Frontiers in Behavioural Neuroscience, researchers, led by the Department of Psychiatry's Professor Barbara Sahakian, found that the Decode app's use for eight hours over the course of a month resulted in neurological improvements in healthy trial participants that were similar to those taking stimulants like nictotine or Ritalin.
