Now Playing The Fray How To Save A Life

Tributes Paid To Former Cambridge Radio Presenter Helen Legh

Helen has died at the age of 44 and was well-known in Cambridge as one half of the long-running Q103 Breakfast Show Big Russ and Helen.

Helen was given only months to live following the discovery of a brain tumour in 2014 and had recently been undergoing experimental treatment.

She presented on the Q103 Breakfast Show with co-hosts including 'Big' Russ Wilcox, Terry James and current Star Radio Breakfast host Daniel Fox.

Daniel said, "Helen was my first ever radio co-host. When I hosted Q103 breakfast with Helen, I was struck by how simply everyone loved her.

"I learnt by osmosis from her. (Helen was far too modest to even suggest she could teach you something).

"How someone could be so natural, so frank and so ‘herself’ in front of a microphone amazes me even now.

"I hope I have just 1% of her humility, humanity and humour in me."

After Q03 Helen presented shows on Virgin Radio, Mercia FM, ASDA FM, BBC Three Counties Radio and MKFM in Milton Keynes.

Helen leaves behind her husband Paul and daughter Matilda.
