Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival 2019 registrations now open!
Registrations for this year’s Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival are open, with a day of family fun and spectacle set for this September.
Teams can now sign up to take part in the oar-some day-long event, which will run on Saturday 7th September on the River Cam at Fen Ditton.
Dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun! Crews of up to ten paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and our helm at the tail steering a straight course.
No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit!
The 2019 Festival is the 15th annual event with more than 40 teams expected to compete over the 200m race course, watched by several hundred spectators. With exciting races, a range of bankside entertainment, food stalls and fun activities you can guarantee a fabulous day out for all the family!
This year’s Dragon Boat Festival is supporting Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and is organised by Gable Events. Star Radio is again proud to be official media partner of the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival.
